Job Description:

Conducting business from three sites in the United Kingdom, AEM offers specialist services for in excess of 5,000 components over a variety of aircraft systems with capabilities covering aircraft windings, electrical power, hydraulic components, landing gear and safety equipment.

Responsibilities

To efficiently and effectively deliver the day-to-day operation of the Metal Finishing section, undertaking tasks under the direction of the Metal Finishing Team Leader or in his absence the Metal Finishing Supervisor.

Daily tasks include electroplating a variety of components from a wide selection of different aircraft platforms. Plating processes include Cadmium, Nickel, Chrome, Silver, Tin, Copper and Phosphate.
Help monitor and maintain stock levels of chemicals and consumables.
Carry out daily, weekly and monthly control checks.
Maintain the function of plant and equipment.
Maintain the 5S standard required.
Ensure quality standards are maintained in accordance with EASA, FAA and company procedures.
Ensure you are working in accordance with the relevant Environmental, Health and Safety requirements for working in MPBU, specifically the plating bay.

Experience, Qualifications and Competencies

Experience in engineering/metal finishing (desirable)
Aviation background (highly desirable)
Computer literate
