MAIN PURPOSE
Manage the Operations within the Altrad RMD Kwikform Aldridge works to include progressing, handling and maintenance of equipment for hire and sale, transport and provision of facilities and services at the Aldridge premises.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Operations Manager will be responsible for operational matters and physical services at Aldridge and for the provision of hire and sale equipment to the UK depots and designated subsidiaries, with particular attention being paid to:-
1. Health and Safety at central operations and house keeping and 6S audits
2. Ensuring the Company’s Quality Assurance levels on standard of equipment and HIM’s are adhered to
3. Quality, quantity and consistency of repairs and refurbishing carried out at Aldridge , including the use of works orders & SOP
4. Maintenance and security of facilities used at Aldridge
5. Manufacture, maintenance of product and reclamation of obsolete/reject materials, to suit the requirements of UK and subsidiary Companies
- Ensuring that the preventative maintenance is carried out in line with schedule
6. Management of operations and monthly reporting in terms of management of property, health and safety, hourly paid activities, security and utilities
7. Recruitment, completion of wages , training, health and safety and discipline of works supervision, holiday approval and job chats to all hourly paid personnel at central services.
The ideal applicant will have previously worked in a factory/warehouse managing a team , and meeting deadlines for delivery of customers requirements.
They should have basic computer skills and an awareness of safe working and Health & Safety procedures. A 6 month probation will apply for the successful candidates.
