Private Banking Officer
Private Banking Officers add value by assisting Private Bankers with the administrative tasks resulting from client interactions. Examples include preparing the documentation required for client meetings, composing file notes when attending client meetings, preparing investment & credit proposals and compiling annual reviews.
This role would suit a graduate calibre person with 1 to 3 years’ experience in Private Banking or Wealth Management, someone who is ready to pursue further qualifications and extensive continual development in order to progress in their career in Wealth.

Main Responsibilities & Duties

Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to build trust and interact effectively with both customers and staff.

Demonstrate initiative, adaptability and flexibility in order to deal with the demands of the job.

Undertake advice related administrative tasks.

Provide office cover for periods when other team members are engaged with clients.
-
Deliver a high level of customer service to Nedbank Private Wealth clients in a professional, courteous and efficient manner.

Collate, update and input data onto banking systems in a timely and accurate manner.
-
Provide support and assistance to the Private Bankers in managing and maintaining their client relationships.

Execute client requests in an accurate and timely manner, adhering to both the bank’s prevailing Policies and Procedures and relevant regulatory parameters.

Support the Private Bankers with their annual Client Reviews.

Assist the wider team with achieving individual and team financial targets, which may be measured by organic growth of existing clients to support overall business objectives.

Carrying out projects and review procedures currently in place that may require updating.
To undertake such other tasks as the bank may require from time to time.
Competencies, Skills & Experience

Good level of skill in the use of standard Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.

Good level of written and oral communication skills enabling effective contact at all levels both internal and external.
