A leading TV production company is looking for an experienced Senior Qualified finance professional to join their team to oversee the Production Finance division on a fixed term contract basis.
This award winning TV indie is known for producing ground breaking, innovative content that is loved by global audiences and with a number of hit shows and a very healthy slate of new and returning non-scripted series, they are definitely a company to join.
This commercially focused role will work closely with the Production Execs having an oversight of production budgets & margins and actively look for optimisation & improvements across all shows from budget and throughout the show lifecycles.
You will also oversee the production accounting teams, being the main point of contact for all lead production accountants and ensure appropriate resource is in place for each show.
This is a busy and varied role that will keep you challenged and intersted! To be a suitable candidate, it is essential that you are a fully qualified accountant, with extensive PQE. Candidates MUST also have previously worked in a similar role within TV or Film and be able to demonstrate leadership skills.

This is a 12-15 month fixed term contract. This is a hybrid role with an expectation to be in their central London offices 3-4 days a week.
Responsibilities of the role include:
· Oversee the Production Finance/Accountants team, mentoring and ensure appropriate finance resources available for each show
· Review/critique production finance budgets to ensure they are robust, margins are sound and highlighting risks/opportunities prior to being set with Broadcasters,
· Review/deliver financial reporting for all shows on a bi-monthly basis, including production margins reports, broadcaster/SVOD reports, final cost reports
· Involvement in production meetings at kick-off and throughout the lifecycle
· Monthly revenue forecasting reporting, analysing actuals and yearly comparisons
· Review cashflow of each production, ensuring all cash is available and received as required
· Review & approve production payrolls, pay-runs
· Oversee and review the month end production finances for consolidation into the company accounts
· Update rolling forecasts with month end actuals
· Responsible for production revenue, margin and cashflow input for the annual budget, bi-annual forecasts and ad hoc analysis
· Support projects, systems improvements and ad hoc requirements
Candidate specifications:
· Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with at least 5 years PQE
· Previous relevant experience gained within TV/Film is essential (ideally non-scripted/entertainment)
· Advanced Excel with strong analytical skills
· Experience of managing & mentoring others
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, confidently able to challenge & champion others with an positive outcome
· Attention to detail, deadline orientated and able to go to the extra mile
· Self motivated, collaborative, positive can-do and logical attitude.
