Your new role
We invite you to bring your project expertise into play as you contribute to our sustainable, multi-discipline construction projects both in the UK and overseas. To succeed in this role, you must have excellent communication skills and experience of the design and construction process.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Delivery of projects from inception to completion to budget, time and quality, ensuring that scope, contracts, programmes, change management, risk registers, budgets and QA procedures are all in place and maintained through the life of a project
- Communicate with and represent the Client’s interest and provide a professional and cost-effective service that meets the Stakeholder’s expectations
- Managing the design process through design workshops and leading project meetings
- Management of sub-consultants as the project requires, typically this may be quantity surveyors, architects or specialist designers
- Assume responsibility for the day-to-day management of all project activity including Monthly Reports, Minutes and (MS Project) Programmes, and delivery of presentations when required
- Ensuring coordinated and high-quality deliverables and outputs from our multidisciplinary teams
- Developing safe, sustainable and profitable solutions
You will be part of our project management community delivering a wide range of construction projects in the UK and overseas for both the public and private sectors. Our PM team is linked into the Buildings Division and work across a variety of projects and sectors from large commercial and residential developments, boutique hotels and high-end retail stores to Infrastructure Projects in Antarctica. The work is stimulating and involves dealing with clients and a broad range of stakeholders, consequently applicants should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and enjoy form close and effective working relationships. For this role there is a requirement for travel of a short duration, both in the UK and overseas.

These include:
- Minimum HNC/HND and interest in Buildings/Engineering
- Must be in the Chester office a minimum of 3 days per week
- For security clearance, must be a UK citizen or have been working/residing in the UK for a least 5 years
- Track record demonstrating experience of the design and construction process
- Experience of managing commercial processes on projects
- A basic understanding of procurement methods and contract administration requirements
- Must have experience of managing projects and/or a PM qualification
- Ability to write high quality reports and be able to interrogate financial information
- You are a confident communication and listener
- You have the ability to manage multiple stakeholder requirements and then communicate these requirements back to the project teams, often across geographical borders
