Every childhood is worth fighting for. This is our belief. We all share it. And it drives our Fundraising teams to get out there and bring in the funds we need to protect children and prevent abuse. Join us as a Prospect Development Officer, and get more people involved in change that means everything.
1. Intro – your welcome to us, the role and the team
- The role sits within the Prospect Development team. We are a small, supportive and fun bunch who provide expert prospect research, due diligence and portfolio management services to the NSPCC's high-value fundraising departments.
2. About the role – the key things to know, and the difference it makes
- Your day-to-day will be varied. One day you could be undertaking tailored research to grow and retain our portfolio of high value supporters, including individuals, corporates and trusts. Another day you will be empowering and upskilling our fundraisers by delivering training on prospect research, or you'll be contributing to ongoing business improvements. This variety means we can tailor some of your work to suit your strengths, interests and development areas.
- The majority of the team work on a hybrid basis from our London headquarters, but we have some team members who are fully remote across the UK. No matter where you are based, you'll be joining a strong, friendly and inclusive team - your experience will be the same regardless of working location, pattern or preferences!
3. About you – who are we looking for?
- We are seeking a self-motivated, proactive and analytical individual with the ability to build, manage and develop relationships across teams.
- While a background in prospect research or fundraising is desirable, it is not essential. If you bring the right skills and experience, have an inquisitive mind or an appetite to provide expert support, we'd love to hear from you.
Join us at this exciting time and you'll become part of an expanding team that cares about the work they do and the people they work with. You'll discover opportunities to grow, along with challenges and a shared purpose that'll bring the best out in you. And you'll get to find your own way to make a difference that means more, and that impacts millions of young lives. We want to ensure roles are accessible and inclusive of everyone, which is why the NSPCC offers a high degree of flexibility around ways of working.
