The role of the Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor, is to support the organisation, under direction of the QHSE Manager, in ensuring all quality matters are dealt with quickly, efficiently, and in line with legislation & industry best practice. Including the maintenance of the company’s IMS. The role is key in ensuring the organisation’s pillar of ‘Quality Always’ is promoted and maintained.
In addition, the postholder will play a pivotal part in ensuring best practice is encouraged and developed within the HSE elements of the department, supporting the organisation’s other pillars of ‘Safety First’ and ‘Green Forever’.
This role would be ideal for a candidate who already possess experience biased towards Quality, but who is also looking to expand their skillset and knowledge in HSE. There is progression available within the role in terms of exposure and salary, to be negotiated depending on the experience to date, and milestones set for development.
Responsibilities:
- To carry out internal quality audits to (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) to the agreed plan, policies and procedures. Including the education and follow up to other departments following NCRs.
- Facilitate customer, 3rd party and regulatory audits, maintain day-to-day customer contact on quality controls and, support any customer warranty claims & investigations.
- Provide departmental administrative support updating manuals, registers, programmes and other documentation within the company’s integrated management system.
- Provide a safe working environment by providing information, instruction and training, and periodically designing and delivering toolbox talks to production teams.
- Maintain assessments including COSHH, DSE, Fire, DSEAR, PPE, Manual Handling, Aspects & Impacts, etc. and create procedures where necessary.
- Carry out, as required, relevant incident investigations and support subsequent follow up.
Essential
- Role related experience in a manufacturing/production environment, or similar
- Demonstrable experience in auditing and surveillance of client & contractor activities and ISO 9001 Internal Auditor Training
- Working knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001)
- Experience of auditing
- Strong administrative capabilities and proficient in the use of Microsoft applications
- Confident and effective communicator
- Ability to prioritise own workload and initiative to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Full UK driving licence to support travel across sites
- Ability to travel abroad to support global sites
- Certified Internal Auditor (ISO 9001)
- Relevant qualification such as; NEBOSH NGC, Level 3 or Level 4 NVQ
- Knowledge & relevant experience of the aviation industry, specifically risks from explosion (ATEX), REACH, COSHH etc.
- Experience in producing and delivering training
- Strong understanding of behavioural safety and human factors
Pay: From £28,000.00 per year
