Satys Air Livery UK Ltd, part of the Satys Group, is an established aircraft refinishing company, with operations across the UK and overseas.
At our Norwich Airport facility, we require a Stores & Facilities Operative. The role of the Stores & Facilities Operative is to support the Production teams through providing stores support & covering other general maintenance including the distribution and testing of PPE & RPE. This is very much a hands-on role supporting key functions.
Normal hours of work are 7.00am to 4.00pm (with a total of 60 minutes unpaid breaks). Additional shifts will be required to work around team leave and production schedules which includes weekend and bank holidays. We offer practical on the job training and development opportunities for all of our staff.
Main Responsibilities:
Stores·

• Receive, check & sign deliveries.
• Loading & unloading of all deliveries.
• Maintain stock levels, manage stock rotation and support stock checks for consumables, paint materials and consignment.
• Anticipate upcoming needs for consumables and liaise with Stores Manager to ensure adequate stock is supplied in time.
• Loading & unloading of daily production cages for hangars
• Issue of workwear to staff and contractors, including the relevant processes to enable deductions.
• Liaison with production on any stock availability issues which could impact on service delivery.

Facilities

• Support the Maintenance Technician with preventative maintenance.
• Assist in the response to breakdowns and emergency repairs as and when required.
• Support with statutory and regular checks of tools and equipment as required by HSEQ, including testing of PPE & RPE for employees.
• Support in overseeing external contractors when working on professional repairs and maintenance.
• Conducting routine inspections of the premises.

Other

• Supports others within team as necessary.
• Any other reasonable request as relates to role.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential

• Experience in a stores / warehouse environment
• Good administrative capabilities and proficient in the use of Microsoft applications
• Confident and effective communicator
• Ability to prioritise own workload and initiative to complete tasks in a timely manner

Desirable

• Experience of stock control software, such as SAP
• Good understanding of PPE/RPE requirements and maintenance.

Due to the nature of this role, a full clean driving licence is essential. In addition to a forklift licence or the ability to obtain this (certification provided). We also require flexibility to provide cover as required to both teams which may include weekends/bank holidays. Full training will be provided for the right applicant.
