Position Overview:
Multimatic is a global automotive supply company providing hardware and engineering services to OEMs around the world.
Multimatic Niche Volume Assembly is seeking a Stores Person for our facility here in Thetford. This role is offered on a full time permanent contract.
A well managed store is an essential part of a smooth-running production operation. As the Stores Assistant you will be key in supporting all processing of the goods in and out and maintaining accurate inventory of goods stored in the stores area.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Working in the Stores area documenting stock movement and maintaining parts traceability to ensure accurate stock levels at all times.
• Once trained, operational tasks include but are not limited to:
  • Providing cover for the Stores Administrator in their absence.
  • Picking build kits in line with the bill of materials.
  • Assisting in the receiving and allocating of materials and consumables.
  • Packing and labelling parts to customer specifications
  • Preparing parts for shipping, including cleaning the final assemblies
  • Updating production paperwork.
  • Maintaining working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
  • Working as a team player to achieve customer quality standards.
  • Support stock control by updating documentation/ systems on time.
  • Adopt and practice Kaizen principles and continuous improvement activities.
  • Following all DEPARTMENTAL GENERAL PROCEDURES as well as procedures for this position as indicated in the level II Procedure manual.

Other requirements:

• MS Office package knowledge (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Exposure/ Experience to ERP system desirable. Preferably SAP.
• Ability to use hand tools and follow work instructions to a high degree of accuracy.
• Attention to detail and ability to self-inspect work to ensure quality defects are mitigated and a continual pursuit of perfection.
• Clean as-you-go approach.
• Willingness to learn new skills and desire for personal development.
• Proactive approach to work, eye for detail, and focus on Quality.
• Punctual and flexible approach to work hours to meet customer demand.
• Good English skills in both writing and speaking.
