(£25,547 base salary + £1000 Market Rate Allowance)

YOU is a registered charity that has been providing care, support and advice for over 30 years to vulnerable people, working across Hampshire, Dorset, West Sussex and the Isle of Wight to give them the tools and resources they need to live independent, secure and valued lives.
Essential Requirements
The appointed support worker will:
- Experience in supporting adults with multiple, and complex, support needs.
- Have excellent communication skills: verbal, non verbal, and written.
- Experience in shift leading within a Health and Social Care setting
- Some knowledge of CQC requirements, Safeguarding, best practice around person centred planning and ability to work to, and monitor, quality standards
- Can work flexibly to meet the needs of the people we work with which could include evenings, weekends, and sleep ins.
We have exciting and rewarding opportunities to work alongside people with profound and multiple learning disabilities in Basingstoke. The role of a Senior Support Worker is to effectively support the Manger and team to provide excellent, flexible support in line with YOU’s values at all times.
You will be responsible for working alongside the manager to work with staff in ensuring all support and record keeping reaches the required standards for Care Quality Commission and Hampshire County Council.
The role will also involve overseeing and supervising staff as well as liaising with external agencies and covering management tasks when the team manager is on leave. The role will be a combination of off rota and providing hands on support.

You will be enthusiastic, can do and always think how you can achieve the things that are asked of you, whilst also being able to remain calm when dealing with emergencies. Our Senior staff also need to be flexible and creative in their work and help others to be so too.
