Essential Requirements
We have exciting and rewarding opportunities to work alongside people with profound and multiple learning disabilities in Waterlooville. The role of the Team Manager is to effectively support the team to provide excellent, flexible support in line with YOU’s values at all times.
You will be responsible for the development and management of the staff rotas to ensure people receive their support and cover in the way that best suits those we work with, ensuring all record keeping reaches the required standards for Care Quality Commission and Hampshire County Council.
As the Team Manager you will have an excellent understanding of safeguarding, risk management, supporting people with complex health needs, health and safety, recruitment, anti-discriminatory practice, local knowledge and developing opportunities for people.

As a successful Team Manager you will be person centred at all times and ensure empowerment is at the heart of everything you do, acting with integrity, and treating people with dignity and respect. You will strive for excellence by being a reflective practitioner, with self-awareness and a willingness to challenge your skills and knowledge so that you lead in best practice, coaching others to do the same.
You will be enthusiastic, can do and always think how you can achieve the things that are asked of you, whilst also being able to remain calm when dealing with emergencies. Our Team Managers also need to be flexible and creative in their work and help others to be so too.

YOU is a registered charity that has been providing care, support and advice for over 30 years to vulnerable people, working across Hampshire, Dorset, West Sussex and the Isle of Wight to give them the tools and resources they need to live independent, secure and valued lives.
Supported Living Havant provides care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and associated conditions to live within supported accommodation or their own homes.

Essential Requirements
- QCF Diploma Level 5 (or equivalent) in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or related subject) or be prepared to work toward this
- Experience in managing a large staff team within a Health and Social Care setting
- Able to provide coaching, advice and support to staff
- Knowledge of CQC requirements, Safeguarding, best practice around person centred planning and ability to work to, and monitor, quality standards
- Can work flexibly to meet the needs of the people we work with this could include occasionally working rota shifts including evenings, weekends, sleep-in or waking night shifts.
