We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Service Now Consultant to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of Service Now solutions that meet our business requirements. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, provide expert guidance on best practices, and ensure the optimal performance of the Service Now platform. Our roles are remotely based (even pre-Covid), meaning you will be working from your home office, connecting with your client and team daily.
As a VR consultant, you will have the flexibility to manage your own day, as long as you meet your set objectives and client demands. Often your team will be a mix of on-site and remote based members who will connect using IM, video calls and an online ticketing system. Good communication skills and time management is essential for this role.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Service Now Consultant to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of Service Now solutions that meet our business requirements. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, provide expert guidance on best practices, and ensure the optimal performance of the Service Now platform. Key Responsibilities will include:
- Design and develop custom applications and modules on the Service Now platform.
- Implement solutions in areas such as Incident Management, Change Management, Service Catalog, Asset Management, and more.
- Develop custom workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and UI actions.
- Integrate Service Now with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Service Now platform functionality.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including process design, data models, and integration documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define requirements.
- Configure and manage the Service Now CMDB (Configuration Management Database).
- Perform unit testing and support user acceptance testing.
- Monitor platform performance and suggest enhancements for optimal functionality.
- Participate in platform upgrades and ensure smooth transitions.
- Provide training and support for end-users and stakeholders.

Must have Experience & Skills Required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Service Now platform in a consulting role.
- Proven track record of successful Service Now implementations and upgrades.
- Extensive knowledge of Service Now modules including ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, HRSD, Sec Ops, and others.
- Proficiency in Service Now development including scripting (Java Script, Glide), UI policies, business rules, and workflow automation.
- Experience with integration tools and methodologies (REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, etc.).
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.
- Service Now Certified Application Developer or other Service Now certifications (preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
