Role Overview
As a leader, you would inspire and motivate your team members to perform their best, recognise their efforts and achievements, provide feedback, and create a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
Effective communication is crucial. You would need to share important information, updates, and instructions with your team. Clear and open communication helps everyone understand their roles and responsibilities, leading to better coordination.
Your team will look to you for guidance and direction. You'll need to provide clarity on expectations, answer questions, and offer solutions when challenges arise. Being approachable and supportive helps foster a positive working relationship.

By balancing your leadership responsibilities with active participation in production tasks, you'll be able to create a productive and harmonious work environment
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the daily work schedules across all departments to ensure optimal productivity.
- Maintain adherence to stock management systems, collaborating closely with stock control.
- Conduct daily supervision of team performance, ensuring tasks align with operational goals.
- Provide comprehensive training and support to new team members.
- Enforce adherence to safety and quality protocols, complying with relevant legal standards.
- Manage open and close procedures of the site, ensure security and readiness for operations.
- Regular sessions with the Production Manager to discuss updates and improvements.
- Uphold strict compliance with Health & Safety guidelines, promoting a culture of safety first.
- Exhibit leadership, setting a high standard for team engagement and work ethic.
- Act as an advocate for Wicked Brick's core principles and values.
- Supervise the maintenance of a clean, orderly, and safe workspace.
- Proactively identify operational inefficiencies and suggest actionable improvements.
- Address and resolve warehouse issues promptly, minimising impact on production flow.
- Provide the Production Manager with updates on progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Oversee maintenance of machines and stations, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
- Strive to meet operational targets, adapting to the demands of a fast-paced environment.
- Handle the preparation and completion of product orders, ensuring readiness for dispatch.
- Organise materials efficiently, utilising storage to optimise space and accessibility.
- Be prepared to undertake a diverse range of tasks as required by evolving production demands, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the team's success.
- At least 3 years of experience in a production environment is required, including a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Possession of relevant certifications in leadership, production management, or health and safety, such as IOSH Managing Safely, is considered advantageous.
- Proficiency in using production management software and tools, along with knowledge of acrylic fabrication processes and machinery like laser cutters, would be beneficial.
- A strong understanding of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment and experience with risk assessments and safety audits is desirable.
- Ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced setting, making quick decisions, motivating team members, and maintaining productivity under pressure.
- Understanding of motivational strategies to enhance team performance, with a focus on recognising individual strengths and fostering a positive, innovative work culture.
- Strong organisational abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks and projects efficiently. This entails systematic planning, prioritisation, and execution to ensure smooth operations.
- Excellent communication skills, adept at conveying information clearly and listening actively. Promotes open communication, mutual respect, and support within the team.
