Role: Food Production Operative
Working Hours: Monday – Friday: 3:00pm – 11:00pm. Overtime if required. You will have a total of 1-hour break; 2 x 30-minute breaks unpaid.

We are a busy fast-growing poultry manufacturing company that requires Production Operatives to join the team. We require someone who is reliable, hardworking, has excellent communications skills, good attention to detail and has a general understanding of Food Safety.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Consists of hands-on operation of handling and processing poultry.
• Working in a controlled cold temperature environment. (Temperature controlled room: 8°c to 12°c. Fridges: 0°c to 4°c. Blast Freezer: -20°c to-25°c. Holding Freezer: -18°c)
• Working with a metal detector and following procedures.
• Operating machinery and overseeing production to ensure the company meets its targets.
• Building frozen kebab stacks.
• Picking and packing products.
• Checking the quality of the finished product.
• Packing various chicken products into appropriate packaging.
• Moving goods to storage area.
• Maintaining a clean working environment.
• Product recognition and training will be given.
• All PPE will be provided.
• Adhering to relevant health and safety regulations when operating machinery and handling products.

Requirements:

• Basic food production or working withing Food manufacturing setting experience required.
• Flexibility if overtime is required.

Essential:

• Basic English written & verbal communication skills required.
• Willingness to adapt to new working practices & processes.
• Reliable & punctual.
• Must have good levels of numeracy & literacy.
• Excellent attention to detail & time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, organise and prioritise responsibilities.
