Sous Chef (Full time)

Fleurie is a small French brasserie on Bermondsey Street and we are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Sous Chef to support our Head chef in delivering top class food to our customers.
```Duties```
- Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all aspects of food production and kitchen operations
- Ensure that food is prepared and presented according to established recipes and quality standards
- Monitor and maintain proper food safety and sanitation practices
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and specials
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Manage inventory, ordering, and storage of food and supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
```Experience```
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a culinary role, preferably as a Sous Chef or similar position
- Strong knowledge of food production, food safety, and food preparation techniques
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent culinary skills with a focus on quality, flavor, and presentation
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Exceptional attention to detail and adherence to high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

(Hourly rate based on £14 per hour basic pay plus expected share of service charge)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
