The opportunity:
As a Store Manager at The Nunhead Gardener, you will lead your store and your team to succeed. To do this you must be passionate about people and plants, determined to deliver an extraordinary customer experience and open to learning and developing yourself and others. We want you to strive to be an expert in both indoor and outdoor gardening and a key contributor to The Nunhead Gardener. Full training will be given so this could be an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Senior Supervisor or Assistant Manager to take the next steps in their career.
The role:
Our Managers are there to oversee the daily operations and ensure their store runs smoothly and efficiently. A typical day involves;

• Writing and publishing rotas ensuring optimal staffing levels are maintained at all times
• Managing staff requests
• Training and developing team members in customer service, processes, health and safety and plant care
• Leading by example, serving customers and answering queries
• Maintaining store and company standards
• Ensuing plant stock is well cared for
• Ensuring the store is well stocked with a full range of products and keeping in close contact with the warehouse team to discuss new potential lines
• Overseeing stock orders, making sure they are placed and processed in a timely manner
• Packing and processing products for online orders
• Liaising with our warehouse to top up products
• Managing maintenance issues
• Creating and maintaining eye-catching displays
• Maintaining health and safety documents and standards

Our garden stores are open 7 days per week and will therefore include weekend and bank holiday work.
