Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):

• Document test cases, test results, and defects thoroughly and communicate them effectively to stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
• Identify and document defects and inconsistencies in software functionality, usability, and performance.
• Design and implement automated tests to streamline testing efforts and reduce manual testing time.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality of software applications across different platforms (web, mobile, etc.).
• Identify, record, and track bugs to resolution using issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and create test scenarios that ensure full test coverage.
• Perform regression testing, smoke testing, and exploratory testing as needed during the software development lifecycle.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]

• 2 to 3 years of equivalent work experience in software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
• ISTQB or similar software testing certification is a plus.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Java, or Java Script.
• Expertise with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Git Lab CI/CD, or similar.
• Understanding of security testing principles and tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite).
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Good skills with testing microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with SQL and databases for data validation and API testing using tools like Postman or backend testing.
• Experience with test management tools such as Test Rail, Quality Center, or similar for tracking test execution and results.
• Skills in testing APIs using tools like Postman, Soap UI, or similar. Understanding of REST and SOAP protocols.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter, Load Runner, or similar. Ability to analyze performance metrics and identify bottlenecks.
