As we continue to grow, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Training Manager to join our team, with the opportunity to progress to the role of Training Director.
Position Overview
As the Training Manager at Coleman Training, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of our training materials, the development of our trainers, and supporting our Customer Relationships Manager in securing new training course contracts.
You will be the Lead IQA for health and social care qualifications, including the new Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate
You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the standards of our training programs and qualifications, making them relevant and effective for our target audience, and assisting in expanding our client base through your involvement in contract negotiations.
Responsibilities
1. Training Material Quality
- Develop and update training materials, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and instructional designers to create engaging and effective training content.
- Regularly review and enhance existing training materials to reflect the latest industry best practices
- Conduct quality assurance checks on training materials to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Identify the training needs of our trainers and provide ongoing coaching and mentoring.
- Organise and facilitate train-the-trainer sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of our training staff
- Evaluate trainers' performance and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
- Implement strategies to address any skill gaps among trainers.
- Collaborate with the Customer Relationships Manager to identify potential clients and opportunities for new training course contracts.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations
- Provide expertise and insights on training offerings to support the sales process
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with clients and partners to ensure successful contract execution and client satisfaction.
- Monitor the effectiveness of our training programs through assessments, feedback, and evaluation data
- Analyse training outcomes and adjust content and delivery methods accordingly.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure our training programs remain current.
- Carry out all IQA compliance tasks, including regular standardisation meetings with assessors
- Ensure that all training materials and programs comply with relevant industry regulations and standards
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions, materials, and trainer qualifications.
- Prepare reports for management on training program performance and compliance.
- Qualification (Level 3 or above) in healthcare or social care.
- Formal training qualification
- Proven experience in developing and delivering training programs in health and social care.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in the health and social care sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
- Experience in supporting sales and contract negotiations is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
- Experience
- Previous experience as Lead IQA and assessor
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information in a clear manner
- Familiarity with e-learning software such as Articulate and Synthesia would be advantageous
