Our client is seeking a personable and ambitious Venue Manager to oversee operations at our Reading location. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, ensuring compliance (with a particular focus on responsible gambling) and managing team schedules. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver excellent customer service, addressing client needs and creating a welcoming environment.
• Manage compliance requirements, including responsible gambling practices.
• Organize and manage team rotas, ensuring proper staffing and shift coverage.
• Maintain operational standards, supporting and leading the team effectively.
• Handle day-to-day administrative tasks to ensure smooth running of the venue.

Experience:

• Open to candidates starting their management career.
• Experience in challenging environments (e.g., busy restaurants, hotels).
• Ideally, experience in a 24-hour business setting.
• Additional language skills (Romanian, Polish, Lithuanian) are a plus but not required.

Shift Pattern:

• Example shifts include:
• 5am - 3pm
• 7am - 3:30pm
• 2pm - 10pm
• No night shifts; night shifts are covered by dedicated night managers.
• Flexible schedule, not necessarily 5 days in a row, typically including:
• 1 early start
• 1 late shift
• 3 morning shifts
• Average of 1 weekend day per week.

Salary & Benefits:

• £35,000 per annum (flexible based on experience)
• Opportunity for performance-based bonuses after 6 to 12 months.
