What is the opportunity?

Vice President Data Scientist role within the Global Equity Execution Analytics Team.

What will you do?

• Liaison with stakeholders to provide analytics to clients
• Build analytical products to be used by internal/external clients
• Oversee and build the data services required for analytics
• Project management of technology partners to build statistics/services needed
• Analyze and provide recommendations for algorithms used in trading
• Perform market (market-structure) analysis

What do you need to succeed?

• Degree in Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or Business Analytics.
• Experience working with data/statistical analysis software like Excel, R, and Python.
• Familiarity with some or all of these technologies is required - UNIX environment, multi-threaded programming and KDB.
• Strong object oriented design and programming skills using Java (or similar object oriented programming language) is required, with good knowledge of using efficient data structures.
• Familiarity with Machine Learning modeling techniques and algorithm analysis.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques like D3 are a plus.
• Candidate should be self-motivated, and have the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and work well in a collaborative team environment.
• Experience researching large data sets related to trading (tick/market data, orders and trades)
• Experience performing trade cost analysis on algorithms
• Knowledge of Equity market-structure
• Experience building trading signals leveraging transaction and market-data
• Experience managing a product by overseeing the end-to-end development
