Japes’ Waiters and Waitresses are an all singing, all dancing, multi-talented, order taking, food serving, guest entertaining, high fiving legend (singing and dancing not required but allowed). They are responsible for ensuring the smooth operations of our table service day in, day out. They are fast thinking, motivated individuals who work as part of a well-oiled team, ensuring guests are looked after and leave happy consistently.

- Promote the Japes experience to employees.
- Think as a radical and act as a disruptor in the pizza industry to help Japes stand out from other cookie cutter pizza brands.
- Act as a brand ambassador and build relationships and reputation in the local area.
- Build business reputation through local networking and events.
- An inspiring open minded manager unafraid to explore new experiences.
- Passionate about leading and service, growth and team care.
- Enthusiastic, high-energy individuals who embody the Japes brand.
- Extend a genuine and warm welcome to every guest, creating an inviting atmosphere from the moment they step through the door.
- Develop an intimate knowledge of our menus and offer, becoming a trusted source for recommendations and expert advice.
- Serve as the face of our venue, embodying the values of hospitality and setting the tone for the entire guest journey.
- Curate moments, foster connections, and transform casual diners into enthusiastic regulars.
- Always strive to go above and beyond our Guest's expectations.
- Aim to be better than the rest.
- Interact with and foster relationships with Japes guests.
- Translate your passion for service into contagious enthusiasm, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Entertaining both guests and other team members.
- Informing guests of menu recommendations and specials when taking their food order.
- Checking if guests are satisfied on a regular basis.
- Educating guests on what Japes is all about and what makes us stand out.
- Inform and enhance a Guest’s experience ensuring they leave invested in Japes.
- Step outside your role to help the Team Members in all departments when needed
- Polishing cutlery and glasses and setting tables.
- Providing guests with menus and taking their drink order.
- Informing guests of menu recommendations and specials and taking their food order.
- Serving food and drink orders speedily and clearing tables constantly.
- Checking if guests are satisfied on a regular basis.
- Ensuring that guests’ bills are correct and handling payment.
- Effectively dealing with any guest concerns and involving management when necessary.
- Tidying and cleaning the venue after closing time and cashing up.
- Assisting your fellow Team Members when needed.
- Adhering to all food safety legislation and working to the guidance with due diligence.
- Ensure that you have received the necessary training so that you can competently carry out your duties and responsibilities.
- Acknowledge and accept a personal responsibility for your own safety, as well as the safety of your team.
- Ensure that the Japes safety image is reflected positively through your actions.
- Manage all safety procedures and reporting to a consistently high standard while ensuring all team members are suitably trained to perform their roles in a safe environment.
- Excellent attitude and genuine passion for the brand and what they do.
- Able to build strong relationships with those they work with across the venue and wider business.

- Good multi-tasking skills to provide excellent service to multiple guests simultaneously.
- Presentable appearance and good hygiene.
