Job Title: Warehouse Operative with van driving experience
Current hours of work are: Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:30pm
Overtime rate applies between 8am - 9am daily.
Additional overtime opportunities are available. This will be discussed further at interview. National Minimum and Living wage limits apply.

Storm Xccessories Ltd. has a fantastic opportunity for a Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our team.
We are looking for if:
· You have at least 6 months previous experience in Van driving, in a work capacity, a strong awareness of Health and Safety requirements while operating company vehicles.
· You are an energetic and enthusiastic individual, with experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
· You have experience in achieving targets.
· You have good written and verbal communication skills.
· Although not essential as training will be provided, some experience in using modern warehousing technology would be advantageous.
What will you be doing:
Working as a Warehouse Operative with van driving experience, you will be involved in the driving tasks between our warehouse and Head Office and Garage base. There may be opportunities to drive to other locations as directed by management.
Alongside this, the main element of the warehouse operative role, will be assisting your team in ensuring our customer’s orders are picked, packed, and ready to be delivered as promptly and as professionally as possible. Assistance in restocking our warehouse is an important aspect of this role as is use of our modern technology to ensure that you can achieve targets set out by the company. You will ensure the safety of our team by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health and safety in our warehouse at all times.
Duties:
· Completing pre-operation checks on the company van for any defects/issues, logging and notifying management of any concerns.
· Ensure safe transportation of products to and from our Head Office and Garage, and other locations as required, complying with strict safety standards on and off the road.
· Good level of physical fitness to manage safe movement of packages (weight and manual handling considered) where necessary without forklift assistance.
· Safe operation around our Warehouse, Head Office and Garage, considering team and customer safety and operating with caution around other machinery on site.
· Being aware of safe loading practices and weights relevant to van size, weight allowances and transportation safety.
· Receiving, offloading and checking incoming deliveries.
· Itemising, labelling and organising bay allocations.
· Picking and Packing orders for dispatch.
· Checking products for visual and physical defects or damage.
· Participation in stock counts.
· Keeping the work area clean and tidy.
· Maintaining a safe working environment.
· Other ad hoc tasks as requested by your Line Manager.
Essential Criteria:
· Full UK driving licence – no more than 6 points on your licence
· Van driving experience – 6 months previous experience in a work capacity
· Good written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work to deadlines.
· Proven experience of hitting targets.
· Willingness to work hard as part of a team.
· Ability to manage and coordinate changing priorities.
· Ability to adapt to new systems, and a positive “can-do” attitude.
· Strong attention to detail and ensuring accuracy.
· Ability to work overtime as and when required.
Desirable Criteria:
· Experience in a fast-paced Warehouse environment.
· Forklift Licence – Counterbalance/Reach Truck
· MEWP Licence – Genie Scissor Lifts.
· Knowledge of Stock Control Software.
