POSITION DETAILS
The Office of Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (OEIB), seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to support our mission of fostering an inclusive and equitable environment for all members of the Queensborough community. This role involves a combination of administrative tasks and frontline support, specifically addressing concerns related to implementation and compliance with CUNY’s Policies on Sex-based misconduct, equal employment opportunity (EEO), and other related policies.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to equity and inclusion while providing excellent support to our diverse campus community. In addition to the CUNY Title Overview duties, key responsibilities include:
  • Manage daily office operations, including scheduling appointments, organizing meetings, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and presentations as required.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant policies.
  • Develop and manage organization systems for sensitive documentation related to office initiatives.
  • Assist with budget tracking, financial documentation, and processes for departmental events and programs.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for community members addressing complaints related to the Sex-Based Misconduct Policy, EEO Policy, and other relevant policies.
  • Conduct initial intake interviews and provide support to individuals navigating the reporting process.
  • Maintain detailed logs of inquiries, complaints, and outcomes, ensuring accurate and timely documentation and follow-up.
  • Collaborate with relevant offices to facilitate appropriate responses and follow-up for reported issues.
  • Support hiring processes, including data collection and organization, and management of data systems.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of training materials related to inclusive hiring practices.
  • Coordinate and promote Title IX and campus cultural events, workshops, and trainings.
  • Coordinate student completion of SPARC training and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Attend and participate in cultural events to represent the Office of Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging and gather feedback from the community.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong understanding of equity, inclusion, and diversity principles, particularly in higher education settings.
  • Experience as a frontline team member, providing direct support and services in a collaborative environment.
  • Experience coordinating budgets, overseeing the entire process from purchasing to expense reconciliation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to engage with diverse populations.
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills, with experience in maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • A strong commitment to integrity and experience in maintaining confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with data management systems.
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Supports projects, initiatives, and activities that impact an academic or administrative department.
  • Manages basic office functions such as communications, meeting schedules, work plans, staff assignments, and distributing information.
  • Collects data for, prepares, and distributes reports and presentations using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
  • Updates office databases, lists, and files to ensure completeness and accuracy; maintains current information on department web site(s); maintains department archives and collections.
  • Conducts internet and/or database research and performs basic systems queries to locate information related to department activities.
  • Maintains department fiscal plans and budgets; assists in budget administration and invoice processing.
  • Provides basic information, instructions, and materials as requested by students, faculty, and others who contact the department.
  • May supervise office staff and student workers.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$51,781 - $62,689.
Salary commensurate with education and experience.
