North Dakota Information Technology Dept
Budget Specialist II

As our Budget Specialist II, you will provide support to the organization internally as well as support to our external customers.
In this role, you will:
- Perform general accounting functions like accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank deposit reconciliation, fixed asset reconciliation, lease administration and document scanning.
- Work with NDIT staff to ensure accuracy of invoices to be paid, reconciling with purchase orders, contracts and statements of work, as well as verifying the correlation to billing source data and assist customers when needed.
- Be familiar with procurement of IT goods and services according to State Procurement guidelines.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, annual and biennial accounting statements and closing packages for inclusion in the State of ND's Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR)
- Perform accounting duties in accordance with GAAP and GASB standards.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, statistics, economics, business, or related degree and one year current and progressive accounting experience working with financial data, monitoring changes in expenditures and revenues and preparing/working with accounting and financial reports/records in a medium to large size organization.
Or
An associate degree in accounting, statistics, economics, business or related degree and two years of current and progressive accounting experience working with financial data, monitoring changes in expenditures and revenues and preparing/working with accounting and financial reports/records in a medium to large size organization.
or
Four years of current and progressive professional accounting experience as written above.
