Case Management Coordinator/Reception (Office Specialist 2)

Provide essential support to field staff, agency personnel, foster resource families, providers, and the public.

Complete and verify data entry to ensure accuracy in the Child Welfare OR-KIDS information system.

Process records and ensure compliance with state and federal laws.

Handle reception and phone duties as needed within the team.
-
Assist with all tasks related to fleet vehicles.
-
Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR
-
An associate degree in any field; OR
-
An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Front Desk Experience: Previous experience in front desk reception duties, showcasing effective communication and organizational skills
-
Program Knowledge: Demonstrated ability to explain rules, regulations, and procedures related to a specific program or service to individuals
-
Computer Skills/Data Management: Experience with utilizing computers for tasks such as data processing, entry, and verification of detailed information
-
Conflict Resolution: Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with clients or customers to resolve conflicts and disputes
-
Relationship Building: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and demonstrate intercultural competency.

Work Locations: You will be required to work in the office.

Travel: Occasional travel for meetings, trainings, and other case related activities.

Hours: Regular work week with fluctuating hours; occasional overtime may be needed, including evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements: Frequent physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds and assisting children with car seats.

This role involves handling sensitive topics related to trauma, abuse, and crises, requiring a trauma-informed approach that is essential to ensure a safe environment.

You may interact with individuals who have experienced trauma and may have difficulty managing their emotions.

Be prepared for stressful situations that require quick decision-making to ensure safety for yourself and others.

The Oregon Department of Human Services does not offer visa sponsorship.
