What you will be doing
The Corporate Merchandising Data Services Department has an opening for a Corporate Data Governance Manager. The position’s main focus is to manage government assistance programs that provide food benefits to our customers. This position can be located in any of the following locations: Pleasanton, CA; Itasca, IL or Boise, ID .
Main responsibilities
- Manage government assistance programs providing food benefits for consumers
- Build relationships with state and local agencies to ensure adherence to programs with extensive rules and frequent changes
- Provide support for at shelf communication at retail
- Manage attributes that control item and program eligibility for point of sale
- Lead a team of analysts and provide direction on daily responsibilities and project priorities
- Maintain Standard Operating Procedures related to data management
- Keep item information pertaining to legislative requirements current across all operating states
- Perform root cause analysis against issues across different systems related to data
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for business process and system functionality
- Manage changing data needs for business initiatives
- Implement processes to gain efficiencies and data integrity
- Ensure business issues for assigned scope of data are resolved in a timely manner.
- Seek opportunities for streamlining procedures that ensure data quality

What we are searching for
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience in data quality management
- 2 years prior management experience preferred
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate a team
- Advanced level Microsoft office skills and hands-on experience with QMF and SQL
- Strong professional communication skills required
- Must have excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
- Must possess a strong sense of urgency and be able to handle challenges and meet deadlines
- Excellent planning and organizing skills required
- High degree of initiative required and an ability to quickly prioritize and redirect focus for the team
- Highly skilled in problem solving, analysis, risk evaluation and solution development
- Ability to build relationships with a wide range of personnel inside and outside the organization including government agencies across all operating states
