Summary:
Goldschmitt and Associates is seeking a highly skilled Facilities Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the implementation of facilities management solutions across Veterans Affairs facilities. The candidate will provide expert guidance on facility operations, maintenance, and optimization strategies, ensuring alignment with federal standards and operational goals.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the implementation of facilities management solutions across Veterans Affairs facilities.
- Provide expert advice on maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency strategies.
- Develop and recommend process improvements for facility management, including energy efficiency, safety, and compliance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess current facilities management processes and suggest optimization strategies.
- Ensure that facility management operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Lead the development of long-term facility management plans, focusing on sustainability and operational efficiency.
- Mentor and train staff in best practices for facilities management.
- Utilize facilities management software and tools to enhance data-driven decision-making and operational tracking.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 12 years of experience in facilities management or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field preferred. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Deep understanding of federal regulations and standards for facilities management.
- Proven expertise in managing large-scale facilities operations and maintenance programs.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to train and mentor teams.
- Experience with facilities management software and systems.
- Possess and maintain an active Public Trust with the United States Department of Veteran Affairs.
