Food Processing Machine Operator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team in a fast-paced food processing plant. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that machinery operates efficiently and adheres to all safety and quality standards. This position requires a strong understanding of food safety regulations and mechanical knowledge to maintain equipment effectively.
Duties

Operate and monitor food processing machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Ensure that the production lines operate efficiently by sharing the responsibility for operating the machine's input and output for efficient production.
Adhere to HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) guidelines and FDA regulations during all production processes.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards throughout the production line.
Package finished products according to specifications, ensuring quality control at each stage.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain a clean work environment.
Maintain a flexible approach to work to meet team-based work requirements.
Observe and maintain safety with particular attention to machinery and electrical equipment.
Maintain a strict level of personal and workplace hygiene.
Work as part of a busy team, but also be resourceful and make independent decisions within the day’s work.
Undertake other duties within the processing or operations teams.

Experience

Previous experience as a Machine Operator in the food industry is preferred.
Familiarity with food processing plant operations and equipment is highly desirable.
Experience with food safety protocols, including HACCP principles, is essential for maintaining compliance in our facility.

Other Requirements

Must be able to speak and write clearly in English.
Must be a US Citizen or a Green card holder authorized to work in the United States.
Must be willing to join the Union within 60 days from hire date.
Conscientious, dedicated, and committed to excellence.
Proficient with or the ability to learn HR timekeeping software.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Maintains confidentiality; ensures that the firm complies with Federal and State laws and regulations.

Pay: $15.00 - $25.25 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
