Voyager Home Healthcare (https://voyagerhomehealthcare.com/) provides in-home Nursing, Certified Nursing Assistants, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapist and Personal Care Worker services throughout the state of Colorado. Additionally, we have three CNA schools (https://www.getcna.co/) which are unique in that they allow students to take their classes in an online format while enabling them to attend in-person clinical and practice labs. We have office locations in Colorado Springs, Denver and Pueblo and recently opened additional locations in Arizona and Florida.

Apprenticeship
Candidates hired on to this position will work directly alongside our Human Resources department and executive staff. You will gain valuable on the job education in all facets of human resources and operations. This experience and education can be used to advance within our organization or be carried on to other future endeavors.
General Responsibilities
  • Oversee all recruitment, interviews, selection, and hiring processes
  • Keep personnel & departmental documentation up-to-date
  • Plan and coordinate Voyager’s workforce to best use employee’s skills and talents
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings
  • Assist in developing and implementing new company policies and procedures
  • Maintain and update Voyager’s employee handbook and employment contracts
  • Develop and administer human resource plans and procedures
  • Administer and manage employee benefits (health, vision, dental, 401(k), and life insurance, etc.)
Recruitment and Staffing:
  • Recruit exceptional candidates for positions within Voyager
  • Actively source talent from a variety of sources
  • Conduct interviews for potential hires
  • Perform hiring, orientation, and onboarding processes
  • Conduct exit interviews for outgoing employees
  • Perform yearly background checks for all employees
  • Create and revise job descriptions
  • Write and place job ads
  • Join and develop talent networks
Payroll
  • Payroll Processing: Ensure accurate calculation of wages, benefits, and deductions to prepare and process payroll for all employees on a timely basis.
  • Compliance with Regulations: Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
  • Payroll Queries: Serve as the point of contact for employee payroll queries and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports for upper management, finance department, and external entities such as tax and regulatory bodies.
  • Payroll Software Management: Manage and operate payroll software with updates and system improvements to ensure efficient processing.
  • Collaboration with HR and Accounting: Coordinate with HR and accounting teams to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data (including leaves, adjustments, and new hires).
  • Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-provided benefits, ensuring deductions are correctly processed.
  • Tax Filings: Prepare and submit accurate regulatory filings, such as tax withholdings (federal and state) and social security contributions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in payroll processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Training and Development: Train other HR and payroll staff on payroll procedures and the use of payroll systems.
Hours
Monday-Friday: 8am-430pm with a 30 minute lunch break
Benefits
After six months of employment; 12 days of Paid Time Off a year. 3 additional paid holidays (Christmas Day, Independence Day, and Thanksgiving) 7 optional holidays that you can choose to either have to work or have an unpaid day off. These include:

7) Memorial Day
