Job Description:
Your New Role – HVAC Program Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HVAC Program Manager to lead a diverse team of skilled trades workers in maintaining, optimizing, and enhancing our critical HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in HVAC operations, team leadership, project management, and a commitment to safety and sustainability. You'll bring expertise in complex system troubleshooting, project coordination, and fostering a collaborative, inclusive work environment that aligns with our diversity and affirmative action goals. If you're ready to take charge of a vital program and ensure peak performance in all HVAC operations, we want you on our team!
Minimum Qualifications Required:
  • Three years of lead work, foreman work, or supervision; OR
  • One year of experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position AND completion of an accredited vocational-training or construction-training program related to the class concept; OR
  • One year of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field; OR
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Additionally:
  • All candidates must have a current LEA/LEB License to be considered for the position.
Desired Attributes:
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex systems such as compressors, chillers, and boilers. Ability to manage and optimize HVAC operations to meet efficiency, sustainability, and environmental compliance goals. Boiler License (not required) but preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead and supervise a diverse staff, including hiring, performance management, coaching, and resolving grievances.
  • Experience in planning and managing HVAC-related projects, including developing budgets, coordinating contractor estimates, and overseeing installations and maintenance contracts.
