PRIMORIS POWER DELIVERY IS ON POINT IN 2024

The Junior Estimator - TTR Substations will work under the Chief Estimator to coordinate bid coverage and solicit subcontractor and material pricing.
This position is office-based in the Fresno, CA area.
Key Responsibilities:

• Solicits sub-contractors/ material suppliers for bids by phone calls, and email.
  
• Complete material and quantity take-offs.
  
• Request project drawings and specifications as needed.
  
• Attend project pre-bid job walks.
  
• Assist with bid document control by organizing job folders for the estimating team.
  
• Able to develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors.
  
• Create, review, and request information relating to bids.
  
• Issue drawings, specifications, and project addenda to trade contractors.
  
• Supports senior estimators as instructed.
  
• Assist the estimating team with uploading technical information for bid proposals.
  
• Effectively work on multiple projects at a time with multiple estimators.
  
• Upload estimate reports to hand over to project controls and project management team.
  
• Attend job kick offs.
  
• Prepare all bid documentation for civil and electrical estimators.
  
• Staying current on construction methods, materials, wage rates and more.
  
• Prepare and maintain bid schedules as required.
  
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  
• Maintain continuity among estimating team members by documenting and communication actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  
• Ensure project documents are complete, current and stored properly.
  

Educational & Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• High efficiency with MSFT Excel, Bluebeam, and Estimating Software.
• Must have excellent written, verbal, and computer skills.
• Must be detail-oriented, well organized, a team player, and able to prioritize duties to meet assigned deadlines.
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Possess resourcefulness and ability to track down information quickly and accurately.
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work well within a deadline driven environment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
