Job Summary and Qualifications

What You Will Do In This Role:

• Mastery in repair and maintenance of commercial Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and associated components.
• Performs periodic maintenance and repair of refrigerant units, Glycol systems, chilled water systems and dryers.
• Operates building automation systems, repair pneumatic and digital controls.
• Mastery in response to building system casualties immediate restoration of services.
• Mastery in trouble shooting and repair of VAV and CAV controls, humidity controls.
• Mastery in the performance of scheduled preventative maintenance of the Air Handling Units (AHU).

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Technical or Vocational Diploma preferred, or combination of equivalent experience and education in a related field in lieu of a Diploma.
• Five years related experience with at least three years in a healthcare setting.
• Journeyman’s license or State Certification in an engineering trade, registered Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (ACR) Technician
• Ten (10) years’ experience in a related trade or a Technical Associate’s Degree may be substituted for the requirement of certification and license
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing in English.
• Mastery in understanding facility drawings and technical documentation.
• Mastery in working with computer applications including e-mail, building automation systems, computerized maintenance management systems, fire alarm systems, etc.
• Mastery in critical thinking skills to understand and be able to troubleshoot mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Customer service skills including effective listening
