Responsibilities

• Load and unload all equipment.
• Inspect all equipment received in and shipped out.
• Record model and serial numbers of trucks, batteries, chargers, etc., needed on bill of lading. Fill out an equipment condition checklist. Record incoming equipment on receiving sheet.
• Tag equipment for inventory control.
• Arrange for cranes when needed (for loading/unloading purposes).
• Work with freight companies to establish pick-up/delivery date/time. Skidding and special handling of units on inbound and outbound freight.
• Moving of used and rental equipment to proper location in warehouse.

Requirements

• Per 8-10 hr. shift (walk 5-7 hrs., stand 3 hrs.), frequently (bend, squat, climb, reach above shoulder level, kneel, and push/pull).
• Occasional lifting and carrying (occasionally from 0 to 50 lbs.).
• Must be able to see, hear, talk, have good binocular vision, use feet to operate foot pedals, do simple and firm grasping with both hands.
• Must be able to work in a noisy environment that includes exposure to vibration, outside temperatures, battery acid, dust, solvents and oil.
• Must be able to safely operate lift trucks and safely work in areas of lift truck traffic.
• Read and complete bill of ladings, read and remember lift truck and part numbers, read tape measure, basic computer skills, basic construction knowledge, basic math, count, reason and analyze.
