Wanted: Reptile Caretaker/Inventory Manager
We are a locally based, rapidly growing pet wholesale distribution company. Our growing company provides pet stores with the highest quality pets that we hold to the very highest standards. We are seeking an individual who has experience handling and caring for pet snakes. This person would oversee the care of several hundred ball pythons including inventory duties such as accurate labeling, tracking, and reporting.
The ideal candidate will have experience:

• Providing daily care and handling of reptiles ensuring the highest standards of health
• Perform weekly feeding and cleaning of enclosures
• Follow snake intake protocol including taking photos, weighing, labeling, and treatment for pests.
• Collect and organize animal data and input into inventory software
• Monitor and complete snake (and tarantula) inventories including accurate physical counts and tracking
• Examining animals to detect behavioral changes or clinical symptoms that could indicate illness or injury
• Administering medication as prescribed by veterinarians
• Cleaning, maintaining, and sterilizing instruments or equipment
• Providing emergency first aid to sick or injured animals
• Providing assistance with euthanasia of animals or disposal of corpses
• Dusting, spray, or bathe animals to control insect pests

This is a full time position. $23-25/hr. We also provide paid time off after 6 months of employment, merit raises, and yearly bonuses.
