MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Overseeing the billing process, ensuring timely collection of payments, and managing customer accounts.
- Reconciling accounts receivable balances and resolving discrepancies.
- Preparing financial reports related to accounts receivable, including aging reports and cash flow statements.
- Recording transactions accurately in the general ledger.
- Communicating with clients to address billing issues and follow up on outstanding invoices.
- Preparing financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain internal control documentation and test internal controls for completeness
- Preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
- Work on special projects, as required.
Competencies
- At least 2 3 years of experience in accounting or a similar role, with a focus on accounts receivable
- Ensuring accuracy in financial records and transactions
- Managing multiple accounts and prioritizing tasks effectively
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities to interact with clients and internal teams
- Ability to resolve discrepancies and handle billing issues efficiently
- Detail oriented
- Knowledge of ERP systems
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 3 or more years of related experience
- Experience in a manufacturing warehouse or facility a plus
Physical demands: Regularly lift 35 pounds and use of hand and wrists when typing information on keyboard. Must be able to twist, reach overhead, crawl, stoop, and bend to the floor. Occasionally lift 50 pounds.
Visual accommodation: Must be able to read written materials and instructions to communicate with co-workers and customers.
Hearing accommodation: Must be able to make and receive phone calls.
Working conditions: Employee works in a clean environment with little exposure to fumes and dust. Work may occasionally be performed in a manufacturing type environment.
