Summary of Position:

The Structural Project Designer, supporting our Architecture and Engineering business unit, you will be responsible for designing and drafting structural engineering projects under the guidance of Structural Engineers/Project Managers. Projects will be located throughout the U.S. and will include; steel, concrete, pre-stressed concrete, timber and masonry. As part of a multi-disciplined firm, you will be coordinating with Site/Civil Engineers, MEP Engineers, Architects and Construction Project Managers. You will be responsible for the production of structural construction documents while adhering to client requirements, code requirements and site adjustments.

Responsibilities:

Assist with design tasks and reports under the direction of senior staff.
Conduct site feasibility research and site visit investigations. Generate reports and recommendations based on findings.
Assist in maintaining task budgets.
Coordinate and assist with addendums, RFIs, and change orders.
Assist in coordinating the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and contract document phases of a project.
Assist senior staff with the project approval process.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's of Civil Engineering (Structural Focus) and knowledge of Structural Engineering Materials & Designer
EIT preferred
Experience with preparation of structural construction documents and proficiency with Revit and Auto CAD
Experience with RISA 3D, Math CAD, Enercalc, and MS Office preferred

Team:

You will work with a team of designers and engineers and report to a Sr. Project Manager.

Work Location:

This is a hybrid role that can sit out of our Tampa, FL; Somerville, NJ; Philadelphia PA or West Chester, PA offices. You are expected to be in the office 2-3 days a week for teamwork, collaboration, and training.
