We’re looking for a Student Assistant to join our team and provide exceptional service across various communication channels, including in person, over the phone, and via email. If you have a strong sense of professionalism, great communication skills, and an eye for detail, this role might be perfect for you!
Key Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service to meet diverse needs effectively, using friendly and professional communication skills in person, over the phone, and by email.
Use clear and accurate verbal and written communication, with strong grammar and spelling.
Confidently use computer software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), email, and other web-based applications. Experience with databases is a plus.
Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, completing projects by assigned deadlines.
Work both independently and collaboratively, with a positive, adaptable approach.
Handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- General office experience preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
- Cash handling experience preferred

Position Details:
This is an in-person position located on the Anchorage campus. Remote work is unavailable for this position.
Applicant must be enrolled as a UA student taking a minimum of 6 credits per semester with a minimum GPA of 2.0 or a newly enrolled student. This student staff position is 20 hours/week during the academic year with opportunities for up to 40 hours/week during the summer and starts at $11.34/hour. Candidates must be available to work between the hours of Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.
