The Bureau of Information and Telecommunications has a full-time permanent position open for a Support Services Technician. Under administrative supervision, applies depth of knowledge and skill in complex and varied work situations while providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities include imaging and deployment of computers, installing and configuring software and peripherals and assisting users during deployments. Other duties include, but not limited to; troubleshooting hardware/software failures, processing break/fix tickets, network equipment replacements, and documentation.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
An associate degree or 2 years work experience in a related computer support field is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Microsoft Operating Systems;
- Microsoft Office 365 and Teams;
- Active Directory;
- Microsoft Azure Entra ID;
- work effectively alone or in a team environment;
- ability to identify and resolve hardware/software issues on various computer hardware platforms;
- ability to create and document;
- interface with users via our service delivery system, telephone, chat, or electronic mail;
- communicate well both verbally and in written form;
- manage time, prioritize work and complete work within assigned timeframes;
- provide quality customer service; and,
- knowledge in the operation of computers and networking.
This position is eligible for Veterans’ Preference per ARSD 55:10:02:08.
