We are currently seeking an experienced ASME Code Pressure Vessel/Heat Exchanger Stick (SMAW) & TIG (GTAW) Welder to join our team. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in producing welds suitable for pressure applications. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in heat exchanger or pressure vessel welding, with in-depth welding experience with TIG (GTAW) stringer and Stick (SMAW) Welding with x-ray repair rate of less than 5%.
Responsibilities and Requirements

• Perform welding operations in accordance with ASME BPVC standards and weld within WPS/PQR requirements.
• Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in pressure vessel welding, with a focus on stick welding (SMAW) and GTAW (TIG) techniques. Sub Arc (SAW) experience is a plus.
• Must have carbon arc gouging experience.
• Achieve a weld repair rate of less than 5%.
• Must pass 6G weld test to be considered for position. Weld will have to pass x-ray examination.
• Pass weld qualification test for each process.
• Experience TIG/Stick welding various materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, Duplex and alloy metals.
• Interpret and work from shop prints to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of components.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Be punctual, conscientious and dependable with a willingness to work hours outside of a standard schedule when required to achieve a task or complete a project.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
