Tool & Die Maker Apprentice
Aerospace Techniques, Inc. is an innovative, high-tech leading supplier of machining services for aircraft, engines, aerospace, medical and electronics. We are seeking a class A machinist with at least 5 years’ experience to train under our Tool & Die Maker. Substantial overtime possible but not required.
Individual will train to craft precision tools and gages (from detail drawings, ), work to tight tolerance, and be able to inspect your own work.
Tool and Die Maker Apprentice Responsibilities:
· Reading and interpreting blueprints, and CAD drawings.
· Visualizing and computing metal shapes and tolerances.
· Measuring and marking metal stock for machining.
· Setting up machine tools such as drills, lathes, grinders, and milling machines.
· Cutting and shaping blocks and locators to specified dimensions.
· Fitting and assembling tools and gages.
· Inspecting finished tools and gages for defects, smoothness, and contour deformities.
Tool and Die Maker Apprentice Requirements:
· High School diploma or equivalent.
· In-depth knowledge of machine tools and their uses.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design schematics.
· Extensive experience (minimum 5 years) with metalworking tools including drills, milling machines, grinders, and lathes.
· Excellent attention to detail.
· Must be authorized to work in the United States
Schedule

• 10 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed

Sign-on Bonus - $1,000 after 90 days of successful employment
Pre-employment drug screen required prior to hire
