Polar Field Services, Inc. is looking to hire a seasonal Welder in Summit Station, Greenland. Are you an adventurous soul looking for a lucrative international position? This seasonal welder position earns a competitive wage of $2181 - $2,500 per week. In addition, you can enroll in our Pro Deal Discount program and receive an hourly health and welfare benefit of $4.22/hour for the first 40 hours worked each week (included in the weekly rate listed.). ABOUT POLAR FIELD SERVICES, INC.
We are a rare company. Since 1999, we've been taking our clients wherever they need to go, no matter how remote the location or challenging the conditions may be. We plan their expeditions, keep them safe in places that are anything but, and supply food, shelter, power, water, and waste removal. YOUR ADVENTURE AS A WELDER
A competent leader, you occasionally direct the work of our helpers as well as utilize the assistance of other station personnel to make sure every task gets accomplished. Highly organized, you thoroughly document your hours worked, tasks performed, and materials used.
The climate may be frigid, but your drive to succeed is always burning, no matter what your surroundings throw at you! A team player, you always attend safety meetings and morning pre-task stretching sessions. You also readily assist your team with all aspects of camp support, including cooking, equipment operation, digging, and camp construction. No two days are the same, making your work exciting and rewarding. You love using your skilled trade expertise to make a difference for our important international mission!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A WELDER
We're searching for an empathetic, courteous person with the following qualifications:

This seasonal skilled trade position works 9-hour days, 6 days per week and enjoys Sunday off. Additional hours will occasionally be needed. The schedule for our Welders varies based on location, weather conditions, and work requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A WELDER
We're searching for an empathetic, courteous person with the following qualifications:

- Must be qualified at fillet welding, groove welding and full penetration welding.
- Current 3G welding certification required.
- Qualified in the use of the welding processes that follow: Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).
- Refer to "American National Standards Institute (ANSI)/American Welding Society (AWS) Specification D1.1, or Specification D14.3" for information that regards the qualifications for the processes that follow: SMAW process. Must have used this process sometime within the last 6 months.
- Must be proficient in 6010 and 7018 structural welding from 1/8" to unlimited thickness A36 steel.
- Must have current AWS D1.1 welding certification for 3G/4G SMAW
- United States Passport
- Covid vaccination with current booster
- Experience working in remote and cold or polar environments
