Sales Engineer, Electronics

Reporting to Account manager. Responsibility is to grow and win orders for Foreign Investment Customer’s accounts (China CN, Korea KR, Japan JP, Taiwan TW) in Vietnam (VN). Also responsible in the onboarding and management of foreign dealers who setup office in Vietnam.
Primary duties and responsibilities
  • Provide market / territory intelligence for strategy development & market mapping (strategic customers / key opinion leaders, industries, distributors & competitors)
  • Identify opportunities for growth.
  • Work closely with Sales & marketing team to widen the sales funnel x3 of existing Opportunities.
  • Generate new leads & opportunities through networking & building relationships.
  • Act as a ZEISS ambassador & promote the brand.
  • Qualify leads.
  • Maximize win probability by systematically progressing opportunities through the sales stages: Understand, Propose, Negotiate and Decide
  • Prepare quotations.
  • Negotiate and win orders, involve support where needed.
  • Work closely with the logistics and finance support teams to ensure timely delivery of solutions and facilitate payment collection.
  • Ensure high standards of customer relationship management.
  • Support and serve customers, even beyond the scope of sale’s responsibility.
  • Frequent customer visits, both potential and existing customers (tracked through CRM follow-up activities)
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by working closely with Administration, Applications and Service team for order fulfilment.
  • Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company.
  • Travel to client sites, attend industry trade shows, and participate in networking events to expand the client base and market presence.
Education requirements / Experience / Job Specifications

All qualifications must comply with provincial human rights legislation.
Education / Professional Certification
Minimum a Diploma / Bachelor in Engineering in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Electronics / Electrical / Management
Experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in B2B (business to business) sales in selling products and / or services in Electronics sector.
  • Exposure in manufacturing/precision engineering (preferably in metrology) or production environment will be an advantage.
  • Experienced in making technical presentations to customers.
Knowledge / Skills / Other characteristics
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with customers
  • Dynamic and result oriented personality with good business acumen.
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Must be able Speaking Chinese (mandarin).
  • Having private car for working is an advantage.

  • Frequent traveling within Vietnam to have better understanding of other customers and business requirements.
