About the role
Permanent full time and/or part time opportunity to support the delivery of a seamless administrative support service for the patients, relatives, visitors and multidisciplinary healthcare team of the ward and STARS.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

• Provide professional and high-level administrative support to all patients, visitors and employees, demonstrating understanding, empathy and patience, while ensuring confidentiality, tact, diplomacy and discretion.
• Contribute to patient flow efficiencies on the ward and throughout the hospital by liaising with a range of staff to coordinate appointments, transfers resources and patient movements on behalf of patients in a timely manner, including booking of interpreters where required.
• Respond to general enquiries and information on the ward in person, on the phone and by email, ensuring accurate transfer of messages and information to support patients and staff.
• Perform duties such as searches, admissions, discharges of patients, booking Public and Private outpatient appointments, including the completion of associated documents/records as per policy and procedure.
• Maintain the Ward Inpatient checklist and ensure all relevant data is collected, uploaded and updated.
