We have an exciting Leadership opportunity for a Director Student Administration at Swinburne.

The Director, Student Administration at Swinburne University plays a crucial leadership role in enhancing the university's strategic vision for student administration and delivering a next-gen student experience. This position oversees the management of higher and vocational education students, focusing on areas such as enrolments, curriculum implementation, timetabling, examinations, academic progress, service delivery and graduation activities. The Director is expected to provide innovative leadership in a rapidly changing environment, utilizing digital technologies to improve customer service, streamline business processes and deliver student centric administration.

The role ensures streamlined operations across Swinburne’s campuses and international partners, maintaining compliance with governing policies while prioritizing a student-centric approach. The Director represents the university in various industry advisory groups and is responsible for key IT systems, including the Student Management System and Customer Relationship Management System. Working closely with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education, Experience & Employability), the Director leads a team of over 130 staff and manages a significant budget collaborating with senior stakeholders to achieve the university's strategic objectives and mission.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

• Provide strategic leadership in the delivery of tech rich administrative operational requirements across the student lifecycle.
• Champion and develop innovative improvement strategies, aligning operations with leading practices, maintaining a strong focus on quality control, promotion of proactive approaches and student centric business processes.
• Provide leadership and strategic direction for the growth, development and delivery of teaching, learning, research and administrative functions in support of Swinburne’s strategic objectives.
• Ensure all systems and processes meet and comply with all government policies and procedures at all times, including those of our strategic partners both domestic and international
• Lead, manage, mentor and coach for optimal Individual and team performance to achieve unit strategic direction in accordance with all employment requirements
• Effectively manage this large, complex and diverse portfolio to ensure it performs within budget, ethically and professionally at all times to deliver on the outcomes expected by Swinburne
