Positions

We are offering a number of exciting opportunities across our Western Australia Iron Ore business, for people looking for an opportunity to join our business with limited or no industry experience for our Newman operations. BHP have designed site based programs to develop cultured, engaged, highly skilled and work ready employees, providing you with industry-leading training and mentoring by some of BHP's talented workforce.

Processing Production Traineeships (Certificate II in Resource Processing) - As a trainee, you will learn all about our Processing Production Plant, screening and crushing of our ore product.

Applicants wishing to apply for these BHP residential opportunities must meet the following criteria:

Have residence in Western Australia and living in Newman
Hold a C class driver's licence
Strong commitment to your own wellbeing and the wellbeing of others
Demonstrate effective communication skills both written and verbal
Proven attendance record (recent school or employment history)
A high commitment to safety systems and procedures
Enthusiasm to learn and motivation to succeed
Demonstrate basic administrative and/or computing skills

Please note that trainees are not entitled to housing, however they are entitled to utility subsidies for the length of the traineeship.
