  • Support and enhance mental health education across the Melbourne Children’s Campus by developing, delivering, and evaluating educational programs and resources under the Campus Mental Health Strategy 2021 – 2025.
  • Engage in a pivotal clinical and academic education role to improve mental health care and wellbeing for children and families across the Melbourne Children’s Campus.

About the Role
The Campus Mental Health Education Fellows at the Melbourne Children’s Campus play a vital role in supporting and delivering educational programmes.

Based within the University of Melbourne’s Department of Paediatrics, these fellows develop, refine, and implement innovative educational content and methods, including face-to-face and virtual learning, technology-enhanced tools like podcasts, and collaborative projects with strategy and campus colleagues.
Reporting to the Academic Lead, Campus Mental Health Strategy, their work crucially supports the integration of evidence-based mental health care, research, and education tailored for infants to adolescents across the campus.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Support the development, implementation and sustainability of Strategy education initiatives or projects.
  • Deliver teaching and education across the Melbourne Children’s Campus.
  • Codesign and collaborate on educational offerings.
  • Support education delivery through web-based applications, podcasting or other multimedia applications.
Who We Are Looking For
You will have experience in developing, delivering, and evaluating multidisciplinary educational programs within mental health and/or complex clinical settings, possessing the capacity to enhance curriculum through innovative and technology-supported methods.

With an accredited health profession qualification, you will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively to implement and manage educational programs effectively.
You will also have:
  • An accredited qualification in one of the health professions (across Allied Health, Nursing or Medicine) or a Health Sciences degree with additional postgraduate training in education.
  • Experience in developing, delivering and evaluating multidisciplinary educational programs.
  • Experience in teaching a diverse range of learners in both small and large groups.
  • Capacity to actively contribute to the development of curriculum.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
