To be successful in this role you should be able to perform the following duties:
Prepare, season and cook food, meeting dietary requirements where required
Follow recipes and presentation specifications
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Oversee and manage kitchen operations.
Clean and organise kitchen and equipment in adherence to hygiene and safety
regulations
Preserve and store foodstuffs in appropriate temperature-controlled facilities
Cater for functions and wakes
Additional Duties:
Menu planning and discussion of menu ideas with Management
Keep a sanitised and orderly environment in the kitchen
Ensure all food and other items are stored correctly
Monitor portion control and production flow
Monitor stock, place orders and receipt goods on delivery
Check quality of ingredients
Adhering to WHS standards and procedures Mentor staff
To be considered for the role you should:
Hold relevant qualifications in commercial cookery and min one year experience in similar environment.
Knowledge of safe food handling procedures
Be able to work in both a team environment and individually
Have a positive, proactive attitude
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $73,500.00 – $75,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Rotating roster
- Kitchen: 1 year (Preferred)
- Australia (Preferred)
