DOSA HUT Craigieburn is seeking a skilled Chef to join our team and take charge of the kitchen. If you are passionate about Indian cuisine and have experience in creating mouth-watering dishes, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook traditional Indian dishes: Including tandoori specialties, biryanis, dosa, curries, and vegetarian dishes, ensuring consistency and high-quality standards.
- Menu development and planning: Collaborate with the management team to introduce new dishes and special items, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Tandoor expertise: Master the use of the tandoor oven to cook a variety of breads (naan, roti) and veg and non veg tandoor dishes to perfection.
- Oversee kitchen operations: Ensure smooth day-to-day kitchen operations, including managing food preparation, portioning, and plating.
- Maintain hygiene and food safety standards: Ensure the kitchen meets all health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and food handling protocols.
- Manage kitchen inventory: Oversee inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure optimal stock control to reduce waste.
- Lead and train kitchen staff: Supervise junior chefs and kitchen hands, providing training and guidance to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
- At least 2 years of experience as a Chef, preferably in Indian cuisine.
- Expertise in using the tandoor and cooking traditional Indian dishes.
- Full working rights in Australia

Pay: $53,408.56 – $77,081.47 per year
