A Position has become available for a qualified Chef with at least 2 years of experience as a chef. The successful applicant will bring a passion for producing great food, healthy eating principles, an understanding of the latest trends, and dedication towards your duties; a passionate chef who can stay calm during busy times and support the team around you to deliver quality meals.
Duties

• Ability to maintain a consistent standard of food preparation.
• Be organised and responsible, with the ability to show initiative and work unsupervised.
• Understand and follow health, safety, and security procedures.
• Able to work as directed, as part of a team, in the day-to-day operations of a commercial kitchen.
• Menu development and implementation; planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
• Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation & discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
• Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures, preparing and cooking food, explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
• Take responsibility for ordering and stock control when required.
• Preserve and store foodstuffs in appropriate temperature-controlled facilities.
• Excellent work ethic with great communication skills.
• Train kitchen staff working under the chef's supervision
• Available to work on a rotating roster of shifts, including days, nights, weekends and public holidays.

Qualification & Experience

• Australian trade Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery.
• At least 2 year of experience working in a similar environment;
• Long-term commitment and honest approach to job duties
• Attractive Salary package of $71500 to $75,000 + Superannuation for eligible candidates.
