Job Summary:
We're looking for an experienced and creative Chef to prepare high-quality dishes, lead kitchen operations, and contribute to menu development. The ideal candidate will possess excellent culinary skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items to perfection
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety
- Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and inventory management
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create new dishes and specials
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health and safety regulations
- Manage food costs, inventory, and waste reduction
- Train and mentor junior staff members
- Participate in kitchen operations, including food prep, plating, and expediting
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience as a Chef in a full service restaurant
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety
- Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Food Safety Certification (desired)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with continental cuisine.
- Pastry arts or specialty cooking skills
- Knowledge of inventory management and cost control
- Certification from a recognized culinary organization.
